Marcos New York Italian at the Shakespeare Hotel, Stratford-Upon-Avon was the first restaurant we were involved in as a contractor with the Marco Pierre White Franchise.

Our Managing Director Paul Hughes was recruited by Midas Contracting for the Renovation and project managing of the Building and Construction.

It was a 4-week project in a grade II listed building which had to be carefully and tastefully done keeping the charm of the existing building.

All the existing floors were sanded back and re-varnished, new tiled floors in the bathrooms, chesterfield deep buttoning to the front off the bars and entrance. The ceilings and walls where painted in the franchise colour scheme and all new furnishings.

The result was excellent and still is one of the best performing Marco restaurants, which resulted in us being involved in 10 other projects within the franchise.
